We love Bowman - July 9th

Today we took a day off and interrupted our ZENRIDE but not to rest but to have time for a daytrip. You cannot imagine the adventures we had today. We had a-12-hour dayride from 8 am to 8 pm down to the Blackhills and back. We saw Spearfish Canyon, Crazy Horse Monument, Mt. Rushmore, Rapid City, Sturgis (exactly one month before the Sturgis Rally is beginning) and 453 miles of Highways today. 260 miles we have been riding straight on through the prairie of North and South Dakota. At least we met the Sheriff between Buffalo and Bowman who offered us a big deal: if we won't drive no more than 74 (allowed is 65 mls/h) we won't have to pay the fine of 98 USD. We agreed and we still had the chance to get our supper at BIG J's before closing at 8 pm. Thanks a lot, Justin, for your invitation for this marvellous meal. And what we saw afterwards nobody would ever believe: here in Bowman,ND, population about 1500, we were invited to see about fifty best looking old cars in a private showroom. Mercedes Gullwing, Lamborghini Miura, Rolls Royce, Ford Model A, Ferrari Testarossa etc. etc.
Thanks again to Justin and to Charlie who allowed us to see his private car collection in this wonderful showroom while hearing all the good old music stuff like "Ring of Fire".
